Use of Nano-Technology in energy applications are as follows:

1. Nano-technology is used to develop many new kinds of batteries that are quick-Charging, more efficient,lighter weight, have a higher power density and hold electrical charge longer.

2. Researches are developing wires that contains carbon nano tubes , that will have much lower resistance tan the high-tension wires used in the electrical grid, and thus reducing the transmission power loss.

3. Nano technologies can be incorporated into solar panels to convert sunlight to electricity more efficiently, promising inexpensive solar power in the future.

4. An epoxy containing carbon nano tubes is being used to make wind mill blades that are longer,stronger and lighter weight than other blades to increase the amount of electricity that wind mill can generate.

5. Nano technology is also being applied to oil and gas extraction through for example the use of nano technologies enable gas lift value in offshore operation or the use of nano particles to detect microxopic down well oil pipeline fracture.

6. Nano technology reduced full consumption in vehicles and power plants through higher efficiency combustion and decresed friction.
