Odd toed ungulates have a large caecum at the end of their intestine that helps digest the food and breaks down the plant material. These are called hind gut fermenters.Even toed ungulates have a complicated way of breaking down plant material which includes 4 different stomach parts called the rumen, reticulum, Abomasum and Omasum. These are also called ruminants.
They do not have horns.They have horns.
They bear weight on one of the toes especially, the third toe.They bear weight on two of the toes especially, the third and fourth toe.
