What are the major differences between mammals and reptiles?

The outer layer of the body in mammals is made up of hair.	The outer layer of the body in reptiles is made up of scales.
Mammals have a 4-chambered heart.	Most of the reptiles have a 3-chambered heart.
Mammals give birth to their young ones directly. (Exception: Platypus and echidna)	Reptiles are egg-laying creatures mostly, except for some of the organisms which also gives birth to young ones.
Mammals have a high metabolic rate.	Reptiles have a low metabolic rate.
Mammals are warm-blooded. They produce their own body heat.	Reptiles are cold-blooded. Their body temperature depends on external environmental factors.
