Solution
In sponges, irrespective of size limited to feed on microscopic food particles because of their cellular level of organization. Sponges are marine, asymmetric animals having water transport or canal system that transports food into the body and waste material to the exterior. This movement occurs through minute pores present on the body called the ostia and a comparatively larger pore called the osculum. Therefore, however large or small the size of the sponge, it feeds upon microscopic food particles.
