The male reproductive organ consists of mainly 3 accessory glands, i.e. seminal vesicles, prostate gland, and the bulbourethral gland. The secretions from the seminal vesicles are viscous and contain fructose, calcium, and prostaglandins. These stimulate uterine contractions, which helps the sperm to move towards the ampulla. The prostate glands secrete a milky fluid, which contains a little citric acid, lipids, bicarbonates, enzymes, and fibrinogen. Prostatic fluid increases sperm motility. The bulbourethral gland is two in number and it secretes mucus for lubrication.
