Reproduction in bacteria can occur through three methods:
Binary fission: It occurs under favourable conditions.
Sporulation: Occurs by endospore formation.
Genetic recombination: It is a primitive type of DNA transfer from one bacteria to another and can occur in three ways:
a) Conjugation
b) Transduction
c) Transformation: In this method, bacteria absorbs the DNA from its dead relative present in surrounding and integrate it into its own nucleoid.
