1. The bronchus is the structures which arise by the bifurcation of the windpipe before entering the lungs. Bronchioles are the small tubular extensions of repeatedly dividing secondary bronchi inside the lung.
2. Bronchus ends in bronchioles while Bronchioles end in small tubular structures called as alveolar tubes.
3. The bronchus is made up of the fibrocartilaginous layer while bronchioles are lined by smooth muscles.
4. Bronchus serves as tubes of air conductors while some of the bronchioles are air conductors and others are respiratory gas exchangers.
