Give four features in which human beings are considered more advanced than apes.

Human beings are considered more advanced than apes because:-

1. Because of the larger cranial capacity of humans and larger brain size, they possess superior motor control compared to apes. The ‘quantitative advantage’ is that the magnitude of the memory capacity of the brain is tremendously large.
   
2. Apes cannot infer the mental state of another individual, whether they are happy, sad, angry, interested in some goal, in love, jealous or otherwise like humans. Humans are capable of understanding emotions and observing, offering about it from body language and other signs.
   
3. Chimpanzees have complex greetings and communications which depend on the social statuses of the communicating chimps. Humans uniquely have complex vocal cords, allowing us a great range of sounds, but preventing us from drinking and breathing simultaneously as chimpanzees can. Moreover, we have very muscular tongues and lips, allowing us accurate manipulations of our voices.
   
4. Both humans and chimpanzees are able to modify their environment to forge tools to help with daily challenges. Chimpanzees will make spears, use stones as hammers and anvils, and mash leaves into a pulp to use as makeshift sponges. It is thought that as a result of walking upright, forelimbs were much freer to use for humans and they have refined them for tool use. Tool use and making the ability to such a large extent is what makes humans advanced.
