Solution
Striated muscle is any muscle, including all of the skeletal muscles, in which the fibres are divided by bands of cross-striations as a result of overlapping of thick and thin myofilaments. Unlike smooth muscle and cardiac muscle, skeletal muscle is under voluntary control. Skeletal muscle fibres occur in muscles which are attached to the skeleton.
Smooth muscle is an involuntary non-striated muscle. Smooth muscle cells are found in the walls of hollow organs, including the stomach, intestines, urinary bladder and uterus, and in the walls of passageways, such as the arteries and veins of the circulatory system, and the tracts of the respiratory, urinary, and reproductive systems
Cardiac muscles is an involuntary, striated muscle that constitutes the main tissue of the walls of the heart. The myocardium forms a thick middle layer between the outer layer of the heart wall and the inner layer, with blood supplied via the coronary circulation. It is composed of individual heart muscle cells joined together by intercalated discs, encased by collagen fibres and other substances that form the extracellular matrix.
