Give reasons to show that Cro-magnon man is the direct ancestor of the man of today.

Cro-magnon man showed features that are closest to the modern man like:-

• They were about 1.8m tall.
• They had perfect posture.
• The cranial capacity was 1660 cc.
• They are prominent chin and narrow elevated nose.
• They were cave dwellers and hunters.
• They buried the dead and could make paint.
• They learnt to shape stones and bones into excellent tools. They had religious beliefs and burial customs.

Hence, they are considered a direct ancestor of the man of today.
