Solution

Three similarities that were seen between the behavior of genes and inheritance of the chromosomes are as follows:
1. Like the heredity traits, the chromosome retains their number, structure, and individuality throughout the life of the organism and from generation to generation. They do not get mixed up and behave as single units.
2. Bith chromosomes and genes occur in pairs in the somatic and diploid cells, Both the chromosomes, as well as genes, gets segregated at the time of gamete formation such that only one of each pair is transmitted to a gamete.
3. The paired condition of both the chromosomes as well as Mendelian factors is restored during fertilization.
