Solution
Both dicot and monocot leaves are divided into three sections. These include epidermis, mesophyll cells, and vascular bundles. They both differ in many ways, like:
1. Mesophyll cells of dicot leaf are usually differentiated into two types of tissues, namely palisade, and spongy parenchyma, whereas monocot leaves have no such differentiation.
2. Bulliform cells in dicot are absent whereas present in monocot (particularly in grasses).
3. Vascular bundles of dicots differ in size due to the presence of reticulate venation but nearly similar in size in monocots due to parallel venation.
