Solution

Many plants contain different forms of mycorrhiza and some plant appear incapable of normal development in the absence of their mycorrhizal fungi. Forest trees do not survive well without mycorrhiza. The fungus greatly increases the surface area of the root for absorption of minerals. In return for supplying the tree with minerals, the fungi receive organic molecules synthesized by roots, and a large number of tree form mycorrhiza and do not grow well without it. Therefore tree was planted in a treeless area the forest soil is incorporated in order to inoculate it with the fungus, which ensures that mycorrhizae develop.
