Let's suppose 'u' is the initial velocity of a body and 'v' is the final velocity of a body after time interval 't'. As you can see in the figure given below.

Then, acceleration 'a' of the body can be written as,

a = Slope of the velocity-time graph

a=v-ut-0at = v-uv=u + at (1st equation of motion)
