$\left(ii\right)$ Cyclohexylmethanol is prepared using chloromethylcyclohexane by a $S_{N}2$ reaction by treatment with $NaOH$. Hydroxide ion is the nucleophile.
$\left(iii\right)$ Pentan-$1$-ol can be prepared by using $1$-chloropentane by a $S_{N}2$ reaction by treatment with $NaOH$. Hydroxide ion is the nucleophile.
