Show that if he earth were not rotating about its axis the value of g at the equator would exceed its present value by $3.36$cm$/s^{-2}$. Given the radius of earth $=6.37\times {10}^6$m and angular speed of earth $=7.27\times {10}^{-5}$rad $/s^{-1}$.

$\frac{mv{\omega }^2}{m}=v{\omega }^2=6.37\times {10}^6\times {\left(\frac{7.27}{{10}^5}\right)}^2=0.03366m/s^2=3.36cm/s^2$
