From $2^{n d}$ law of motion-

$F = \frac{d p}{d t}$ that is force is equal to rate of change of momentum.

If $F = 0 ⟹ \frac{d p}{d t} = 0$
It means momentum does not change with time.
$⟹ p = c o n s t a n t$
