Direction ratios of CD(a2,b2,c2) are (1 + 1), (2 + 2), (5 -1) ⇒ (2, 4,4)
a2=2,b2=4,c2=4
AB is parallel to CD if
⇒ a1a2=b1b2=c1c2
We have a1a2=−22=−1, b1b2=−44=−1 and c1c2=−44=−1
∴ a1a2=b1b2=c1c2 Hence, AB II CD.
