Show the following rational numbers on the number line:
12, 22, 32, 42, 52, -12, -22, -33

Here, 12, 22, 32, 42, 52, -12, -22 and -32 have a common denominator 2.
Since, all the given rational numbers have a common denominator, it will be easy to represent them on the number line.
First, each part of the number line between two integers is divided into two equal parts, as shown below:



Then, 12 can be marked between 0 and 1. To mark 22, we move 2 units to the right of 0 and to mark 32, we move 3 units to the right of 0. Similarly, to mark 42and52, we move 4 and 5 units to the right of 0, respectively.
And to mark -12, -22, -32, we move 1, 2, 3 units to the left of 0, respectively.
