Since power is measured of how energy changes over time we can write

$P = \frac{W}{t}$

Since $W = F . D (f o r c e \times d i s p l a c e m e n t)$

Work = energy by the work - energy theorem

So $P = \frac{F . D}{t}$

$d i s p l a c e m e n t / t i m e = v e l o c i t y$

$P = F . V$

Hence proved
