Show with the help of diagrams how you would connect three resistors each of resistance $6\Omega$ so that the combination has a resistance of (i) $9\Omega$ (ii) $4\Omega$

(i) Equivalent resistance = $9\Omega$

$R_{eq}=6+\left(6||6\right)=6+\frac{6\times 6}{6+6}=6+3=9\Omega$

(ii) Equivalent resistance = $4\Omega$

$R_{eq}=(6+6)||6=12||6=\frac{12\times 6}{12+6}=4\Omega$
