Question

Shriya has been married for eight months now, to a man who is a reputed in his town to be honest and noble. She is an outsider but had quickly settled down and even made a few friends in the process. She had taken a break from work for some time to adjust to her new life. She should've started working again two months ago, but did not get the chance to.
One day, she catches up with one of her friends for lunch in a restaurant and they have a pleasant conversation.

As she is coming back home, Shriya ponders over the things that the conversation revealed to her, and decides that, unbeknownst to her, she is being violated at home.

Since there do not seem to be any obvious incidents, what are the likely reasons that led her to these conclusions?

Solution

The correct option is C I think she found that her friend had recently acquired a job Shriya wanted in the town, despite her husband telling her there weren't any.
Domestic violence includes not only physical harm, but also not allowing women to follow their passions and dreams, denying their education, etc., that contribute to mental harm.

Taking a break from work was a choice Shriya had made, though she meant to continue after a few months. The fact that maybe her husband had told her there were no jobs for her and her friend had acquired the very one she wanted is a telltale sign of domestic abuse.
