Solution

Grandmother took Shruti to the backyard near cattle shed and showed her a large inverted drum from where a pipe was going to the residence. She told Shruti that the whole garbage and the cattle dug were dumped in a tank below the drum, It produced two things- biogas (= gobar gas) and manure. The gas is taken to the kitchen for use in cooking. This has made the surrounding cleaner. The kitchen has also become free from smoke which would come from burning dried dung cakes and fire wood. The result is that there are now fewer persons suffering from infectious diseases
