Fruits bought by Shyama $5 kg 300 g$ apples and $3 kg 250 g$ mangoes.
Total weight ( $W_{1}$ ) brought by shyama:
$W_{1} = 5 kg 300 g + 4 kg 500 g = 5300 g + 4500 g (∵ 1 kg = 1000 g) = 8550 g = 8.55 kg$
Fruits bought by Sarala $4 kg 800 g$ oranges and $4 kg 150 g$ bananas.
Total weight ( $W_{2}$ ) brought by Sarala:
$W_{2} = 4 Kg 800 g + 4 k g 150 g = 4.800 g + 4.150 g (∵ 1 kg = 1000 g) = 8950 g = 8.950 k g$
$∵ 8.950 k g > 8.550 k g ∴ W_{1} > W_{2}$
Hence, Sarala purchased more fruits than Shyama.
