Puberty is when a child's body begins to develop and change as they become an adult. The average age for girls to begin puberty is 11, while for boys the average age is 12. The changes in the body that take place during puberty are called secondary sexual characteristics. In males, the following are the secondary sexual characteristics:
1. Voice becomes deeper.
2. Dense hair growth everywhere on the body.
3. Enlargement of testicles
4. Chest widens and the body becomes more muscular
5. Skin texture changes and becomes coarser
