Solution

Alkanes
# Alkanes have a general formula of CnH2n+2 , n being the number of carbon atoms in its molecular structure
# it contain only single bonds
# they are called saturated hydrocarbon as it does not contain any multiple bond
Alkenes
# Alkenes have a general formula of CnH2n
# they contain double bonds between carbons
# they are called unsaturated compound as it contain multiple bond
Alkynes
# Alkynes have a general formula of CnH2n-2,
# they contain triple bond between carbons
# they too are called saturated hydrocarbon as it contain multiple bond
