x – (x – y) – y – (y – x)
= x – x + y – y – y + x
= x – x + x + y – y – y

= x – y
Hence, the answer is x – y.

= x – x + x + y – y – y
= 0 + x + 0 – y
= x – y
Hence, the answer is x – y.
