Solution

The correct option is D (117)(11+7)
A:
(5+7)(2+5)

=10+55+27+35

Now, 10 is rational and 5,7 are non terminating , non repeating is an irrational

and we know that rational+irrational=irrational

Therefore, (5+7)(2+5) is irrational

B:
(5+5)(55)

=52+(5)2=255

=5, which is rational

So, (5+5)(55)
Is rational number.

C:
(3+7)2

=(3)2+(7)2+237

=(3)2+(7)2+221=3+7+221=10+221
and 10 and 21 are both rational.

Therefore, (3+7)2 is rational.

D:
(117)(11+7)

=(11)2(7)2

=117=4, which is rational.

Therefore (117)(11+7) is rational.
