We have $\frac{1}{12} + \frac{- 5}{18} - \frac{7}{24}$

$= \frac{1}{12} + \frac{- 5}{18} - \frac{7}{24}$

LCM of 12, 18 and 24 is 72

$= \frac{6}{72} - \frac{20}{72} - \frac{21}{72}$

$= \frac{6 - 20 - 21}{72}$

$= \frac{6 - 41}{72} = \frac{- 35}{72}$

Which is the required answer.
