Simplify the following mathematical expression.

12+3×2-16-5×2

Step 1 : Solve the first bracket using BODMAS rule.

=12+3×2-16-5×2=12+6-16-5×2=18-16-5×2

Step 2 : Now solve the second bracket using BODMAS rule.

=18-16-10=18-6

Step 3 : Subtract the remaining numbers

=12

Hence the result is 12
