Step 1: Re-writing the mixed fractioon as an improper fraction

Mixed Fraction=Integral part×Denominator+NumeratorDenominator

We will use the above formula to convert the mixed fraction into an improper fraction.

36×314=36×3×4+14=36×12+14

=36×134

Step 2: Simplifying the above obtained expression

To multiply a fraction with an integer simply we have to multiply that integer with the numerator of the fraction.

So,

36×134=36×134=117

Hence, given expression simplifies to 117.
