Solution

The correct option is B 6x+9
We know,
(x+a)(x+b)=x2+(a+b)x+ab

(x+2)(x+4)=x2+(2+4)x+(2)(4)=x2+6x+8

We also know,
(x+a)(xa)=x2a2
(x+1)(x1)=x212=x21

(x+2)(x+4)(x+1)(x1)
=x2+6x+8(x21)
=x2+6x+8x2+1
=6x+9
