Question

Since in space there is no friction, so if a body is given a force once then does it stop or does it continues to move or do work without stopping forever (until something stops it )?

Solution

According to Newton's second law F=ma. This means if we push on an object and there is no other forces balencing that force, the object will accelerate. As soon as we stop pushing on it, it stops accellerating unless there is another force acting on it. So if there was no friction the object would move forever, but remain at a constant velocity (no acceleration).
