Since poor sanitation leads to the spread of disease, suggest the do's and dont's to Anshool who has just come from his native place in Tumkur to Bangalore city on What should he adhere to as an active citizen to observe better sanitation ? [3 MARKS]

Role as an active citizen in relation to sanitation:
(i) Anshool should contribute in maintaining sanitation at public places and resist from scatteing litter anywhere and everywhere
(ii) He should throw garbage/waste only at the pre designated place.
(iii) Ensure that his surrounding and neighbourhood remains clean . Should be proactive and help the municipality in maintaining proper sanitation, enforce the correct separation of dry garbage and wet garbage
(iv) Should make sure that he does not discharge oils, fats and soliod waste into drains as this would lead to clogging of drains .
(v) Immediately inform the municipality about any sewage leakage.
(vi) Dustbins with proper lids should be maintained.
