Does this have to do any thing with odd and even.

Take the terms ,so that they can be simplified easily.
Taking a-3d, a-d ...
Or a-2d, a-d,.... are indipendant of odd or even. But just the ease of simplification.

in GP why three terms that we take is different as when there is product it is a/r,a,ar² and when it is sum it is a, ar , ar² . in ap it is same all the time whether it is product or sum. please clarify my doubt.
