Sir Newton's third law states "for an action there is always an equal and opposite reaction ".But both action and reaction acts on different objects , that can be understood by following example : if a book is placed on a table , weight of book does action in downward on table and table will exert equal reaction on book in upward reaction.They are acting on different objects.
