Sir it is said that"path length of travel is useful in determining"
1)how long a journey might take,
2)wear and tear of a vehicle.
Sir can you please explain how ?

Solution
In physics, there are two definitions for "path length." The first is defined as the total distance an object travels. Unlike displacement, which is the total distance an object travels from a starting point, path lengthis the total distance travelled, regardless of where it travelled.
a) So by knowing the path length that is total distance in a travel we can easily understand how long a journey take...
B) vehicle'' wear and tear depends on how much distance vehicle covered....to know that we need to know path length.
