Let their same capital be X.
and let gita invested his capital for y months.

At the end of 1 year the profit ratio is 3:2

For sita =X×12

For gita=X×y

Total shares=12+y

Profit of sita=1212+y (1)

Profit of geeta=y12+y (2)

from eqs.(1) and (2) we have-
1212+yy12+y=3212y=32

y=8
Hence sita invested her capital for 8 months.
