Sixteen cards are labelled as a, b, c,......m, n, o, p. They are put in a box and shuffled. A boy is asked to draw a card from the box. What is the probability that the card drawn has :None of the letters of the word median.

The word median has 6 letters which are also in the given set.
The number of letters which are none of the letters of the word median is 166=10
Therefore the probability that the card drawn is none of the letters of the word median =10/16=5/8=0.625
