  1. Skeletal tissue from a support for the vertebrate body and help in locomotion and movement.
  2. There are two type of skeletal tissue:
  1. Cartilage is soft, flexible skeletal tissue consisting of chondrocytes. It occurs in end of long bones, pinnae of ear, walls of respiratory tracts etc.
  2. Bone is a strong, non flexible connective tissue which are made up of inorganic salts and organic minerals which provides hardness to the bone.
