Sn2 reaction depend on the what all factors

Open in App
Solution

SN2 reactions are those reactions which follows 2nd order kinetics in this only transition state form no formation of intermidate takes place and factors that affect SN2 reactions are

Rate is directly proportional to [alkyl halide]^1 [conc. Of nucleophile]^1

  1. Stability of transition state
  2. Better leaving group is required
  3. Nucleophile attack should be strong
  4. Solvent medium is required
  5. Catalyst is required which tells the rate of reaction.

Hope this helps :)
