In order to separate the mixture of sulphur and NaCl dissolve the mixture in CS2. Carbon disulphide is non-polar molecule and NaCl being ionic would be insoluble in it. while sulphur dissolve.
Filter the mixture ,NaCl remains insoluble and separates as residue. The filtrate is evaporated to obtain sulphur
