Soil formation is done by biotic and abiotic factors. Soil formation occurs due to five important factors. Differences in soil particles within and between regions are a result of the interaction between these factors.
(i) Abiotic factors: Rocks (parent material), rain, temperature, slope and elevation, time, etc.
(ii) Biotic factors: Vegetation, microbes, soil organisms, animals and human beings.
