Solution

The correct option is B

Loamy

Soil can be classified into three types on the basis of soil particles. The space present in between these particles determines it’s water holding capacity. The three types of soil are:
1) Clayey soil - It consists of small size particles, has poor aeration and slow drainage. This hinders the growth of plants.
2) Sandy soil – It consist of large particle size. The soil is highly porous and has lots of air present. The nutrients and water drain away easily, so it not suitable for growth of plants.
3) Loamy soil - It is good for agriculture as the soil has sufficient sand for good drainage and clay to hold nutrients and water. This soil contains a good amount of humus which makes it best suited for the growth of plants.
Desert soil – It is also considered as sandy soil. This soil is generally deficient in organic matter and not suitable for growth of plants.
