Solution

  • When carbon dioxide (CO2) is cooled then it directly transforms into solid.
  • Solid carbon dioxide is known as dry ice.
  • It is used for the refrigeration of food due to the property that it melts slowly and it directly changes from solid to a gaseous state which prevents liquid formation in the surrounding.

Sublimation- The form of state changes when any matter directly changes into solid to gaseous form without changing into the liquid state.
