Neutral solution:-

  • Neutral solutions are those solutions in which the concentration of the Hydrogen, as well as the Hydroxide ions, are the same.
  • It is basically a solution which is having a pH 7.
  • It is neither acidic which is having pH>7 nor basic in nature which means having pH<7.
  • It is right in the middle being neutral and not changing colours like acidic and basic because of different pH ranges.

Therefore, Solution which does not change color in presence of any indicator is considered to be neutral.
