Given,
$0.2 p + 0.3 q = 1.3$ ......(1) and $0.4 p + 0.5 q = 2.3$ ......(2).
Now, (2) $- 2 \times$ (1) gives,
$- 0.1 q = - 0.3$
or, $q = 3$ .
Using value of $q$ in (1) we get, $p = 2$ .
