Solve: 0.4𝑥 − 1.2 = 0.3𝑥 + 0.6

Step: Find the value of x

We have,

0. 4𝑥 − 1.2 = 0. 3𝑥 + 0. 6

Now, transposing the terms -1.2 to RHS and 0.3x to LHS we get,

0.4𝑥 − 0.3𝑥 = 0.6 + 1.2

⇒ 0.1𝑥 = 1. 8

Now, transposing the term 0.1 to RHS we get,

⇒ x = 1.80.1

⇒ x = 181

∴ The value of 𝑥 = 18.
