We have

$\Rightarrow 2.8 x - 0.6 x = 0.80 - 1.16$
$\Rightarrow 2.2 x = - 0.36$
$\Rightarrow x = \frac{- 0.36}{2.2}$
$\Rightarrow x = \frac{- 36}{100} \times \frac{10}{22}$
$\Rightarrow x = \frac{- 36}{10} \times \frac{1}{22}$
$\Rightarrow x = \frac{- 18}{5} \times \frac{1}{22}$
$\Rightarrow x = \frac{- 9}{55}$ .
