Given, $2 x^{2} + 3 x - 5 = 0$
$\Rightarrow 2 x^{2} + 5 x - 2 x - 5 = 0$
$\Rightarrow x (2 x + 5) - 1 (2 x + 5) = 0$
$\Rightarrow (x - 1) (2 x + 5) = 0$
$\Rightarrow (x - 1) = 0, o r (2 x + 5) = 0$
$∴ x = 1, \frac{- 5}{2}$
